This job posting is for our summer 2021 Internship Program (May – August); qualified candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and one semester or more left of school to complete at the beginning of their internship. Candidates who have graduated are not eligible to intern.

Internship Job Title: Electrical Engineering Intern 


What is special about this team: The Electrical Engineer Intern will be provided the opportunity to work within the Air Treatment Product Development Group.  This Group has many diverse disciplines who lead applied research, development, design and validation of new and existing products, processes and/or technologies to include designing, fabricating, modifying and evaluating electronic components or circuitry for use in our air treatment products.


How would an intern contribute to the team’s success?

  • Candidate will learn and apply an understanding of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).
  • Candidate will learn and apply an understanding of consumer product electrical regulatory requirements.
  • Candidate will learn and apply an understanding of the exposure to radiated and conducted noise measurement techniques and equipment.
  • Candidate will learn and apply an understanding of the exposure to a variety of electrical circuit board designs and EMC improvement techniques.



An example of a typical project is:  Establish in-house EMC testing chamber.  Internship will include validation of equipment and correlation of in-house EMC (Radiated and Conducted) measurements to external third party test results for existing and in-development products to enhance Amways in-house electrical design and support capabilities.


What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

     Desired Skills: Leadership experience, statistical analysis, understanding of radiated noise and/or signals,  understanding of antennas, circuit board design.

     Desired Degree: Electrical Engineering
