What’s special about this team:

 

Our Facilities and Manufacturing Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the facilities and manufacturing equipment in our plants and buildings at our Ada complex for our valued customers. The maintenance department is comprised of over 120 highly qualified Skilled Trades employees, and the equipment they maintain is integral to the successful operations of the facilities and manufacturing operations. The Department Coordinator II will support the management, service team, and facility by handling incoming calls for service, and dispatching to the appropriate team. This role is crucial to the service of the employees and our facilities, ensuring everything is in proper working order with temperature, lighting, and equipment in the operations. This role will work on a 1st shift schedule, Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm with occasional flexibility to support our off-shifts.  

 

How you would contribute to the role:

 

If you enjoy working with a team who is focused on quality, collaboration, and customer service, this may be your role. In this versatile role, you will become a member of the Ada Maintenance team supporting Amway’s World Headquarters facilities.  You will ensure incoming requests for service are resolved in a timely, effective manner. Additionally, you will play a lead role in proactively managing incoming work requests, answering calls to assist departments with any facilities concerns, and dispatching the requests to the appropriate facilities team.  This role also includes responsibility for the department’s consumable goods, making sure staff has items on hand to complete necessary projects, and office supplies are available for the staff and management team. Your ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with efficiency, organization, and enthusiasm will be valued in this role.  Your ability to work as an independent self-starter, as well as a collaborative member of a team, will contribute to your success in this role.

 

What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • MInimum 5 years of demonstrated administrative experience in a similar role
  • Strong customers service skills that demonstrate an attitude of support
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.), collaborative technology (Video Conferencing, etc.), exposures to Infor helpful
  • Experience with expense reporting/purchase order systems (JD Edwards and Oracle EBS preferred)
  • Talent to prioritize, plan, and execute competing priorities in an organized timely manner
  • Ability to respond in a positive and agile manner during times of pressure
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, team building skills with tact and diplomacy to handle confidential information
  • Associates Degree or equivalent
