In this role, you will join a collaborative team of Human Resource professionals, whose work supports the Benefits programs supporting our strong employment brand at Amway.  This team’s efforts establish a workplace environment envied in the marketplace, making sure we can attract and retain top talent, and drive high performance.  You will work with a team of two Benefits professionals, responsible for the US employee benefit, disability and absence management.  You will work in an autonomous environment, where your role will be primarily focused on offering thought leadership around employee benefits, specializing in United States Health & Well-Being and Leave Management.  If you want a dynamic work environment that offers opportunity and collaboration, this may be the job for you!

 

How you would contribute to the role:

If you are a benefits professional who seeks to expand their expertise more broadly in the total rewards space, this may be the perfect opportunity!  You will serve as the subject matter expert on health, well-being, and leave management, but you will also be exposed to financial plan management and global benefit programs on this team.  You will partner with health and wellness vendors to collaborate on programming, plan design, costs and value, for both the employee and the company.  You will lead analysis, recommendations, compliance reporting, and open enrollment.  You will oversee our leave management and workers compensation practices, handling resolution, work alternatives, and compliance.  You will also have the opportunity to lead projects and will collaborate broadly with partners in human resource, payroll, IT and other corporate functions on strategies, programs and policies.  Your ability to consult and advise on benefit offerings that fit our total rewards strategies, will establish your success in this role.   This is a special opportunity that will utilize your knowledge of the benefits landscape and will influence current and future strategies that better complement our strong employment brand.  Your expertise, influence, and ability to manage change will be valued in this role and will offer someone like you the ability to work collaboratively, to build productive outcomes!

 

What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • Minimum five years’ experience as a Benefits professional, with strong functional knowledge of application in a corporate environment
  • Experience leading benefit vendor partnerships, negotiations, contracts, data management, compliance and communications
  • Working knowledge of applicable benefit laws including: ACA, ERISA, ADAAA, leave management, and workers compensation programs
  • Experience offering thought leadership around benefit practices
  • Interests in gaining exposures to the broader employee total rewards
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • CEBS certification preferred
  • BS degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related discipline
