The Southeast Service Center (SESC) is based in Norcross, Georgia, and provides pick, pack, and ship services to local Amway Business Owners and customers. As a Distribution Generalist on the team, you will work with customers, handle merchandise, including loading, unloading, repacking, and replenishing merchandise. This position will work the 1st Shift B Schedule which operates on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00am - 6:00pm.
How you would contribute to the role:
You will have multiple responsibilities and variety in this role. Your attention to detail will be appreciated as you efficiently and accurately fulfill customer orders while inspecting the orders to ensure quality standards are met. You will identify, pick, process, label/relabel, pack/repack products for shipping. Your ability to strategically load customer packages onto a trailer will be valued as you work to avoid damage and package tip-overs. As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to assist and train other employees and temporary staff on a regular basis.
What skills and background will be important to be successful:
- Experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
- Basic computer skills to include inputting, retrieving and verifying the accuracy of data input into various warehouse programs and applications
- Utilizing strong organizational skills with logical thinking skills to understand process and production requirements
- Demonstrated willingness for continuous improvement, offering solutions to process problems and issues as a part of a collaborative team
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills with safety as a top priority
- Ability to use a manual pallet jack
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent
