Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician II

What’s special about this team:


The Nutrilite Botanical Concentrate Facility (NBC) Quality Team functions to ensure our Amway Business Owners (ABOs) around the globe are selling safe, high-quality products that meet and exceed quality standards. This team tests raw materials, ongoing through all stages of plant processing, to finished goods, ensuring products are safe. They ensure that the manufacturing facilities are healthy through environmental monitoring of equipment, facilities, air, and water. Working on this team will offer broad exposures to a wide variety of raw materials, finished products, and manufacturing environments. Your exposures will provide a strong platform for continued growth in the Quality Assurance environment. This position will work four 10-hour days on 1st shift, approximately 8:00am - 6:00pm. 


How you would contribute to the role:


If you enjoy a hands-on role that has you performing microbiological, physical, and chemical testing on a variety of samples types in various manufacturing stages, this role may be for you!  You will execute lab testing functions using GMP and GLP quality lab standards for foods, dietary supplements, and environmental samples. You will also read and interpret results and record data into the LIMS system. This role has broad interactions with our manufacturing partners and other internal customers, all of whom value your contribution. As part of this high functioning team, your work will ensure Amway products retain the high-quality standards that set us apart in the industry as a global consumer products leader.  


What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • Prior experience in a GMP / GLP lab setting, testing consumer products in an ISO accredited lab
  • Proficiency with LIMS (Starlims), or related lab system
  • Experience reading and interpreting lab results
  • Ability to offer recommendations for improvements
  • Talent to communicate broadly, with tact and diplomacy
  • Flexibility to work four ten-hour shifts, which could be Monday – Thursday, Tuesday – Friday, or Wednesday – Saturday, with flexibility for some weekend overtime   
  • Background in life sciences curriculum, with AS or BS degree desirable
