Position:      Distribution Coordinator

Department / Division: Distribution Logistics

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA


The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate receiving, processing and verifying of incoming shipments to ensure stock is received, replenished, properly stored and shipped.  Individuals in this position will be expected to perform any or all of the following duties, as assigned, to include working at or rotating to multiple stations, work centers or departments based on business need.

  •   Maintains accurate and up-to-date inventory levels within the warehouse, identifies inventory discrepancies and verifies they are corrected
  •   Receives and inspects incoming stock for model numbers, bar codes, size, color, description, shelf life dates, defects/damage, status, disposition and verifies that items match catalog
  •   Confirms shipment counts with packing slips.  Tallies and matches purchase order numbers
  •   Dspositions items no longer available
  •   Prepares skid labels and checks against bills-of-lading
  •   Loads trucks and shipping containers
  •   Calculates over-the-road loads to comply with DOT, IMDG and IATA regulations
  •   Pulls orders and transports to dock locations
  •   Inspects damaged products for disposition
  •  Sorts return merchandise and determines optimal method of shipping.  Prepares return labels, debit memos and printouts for box and skid content
  •   Operates hilo trucks to load, unload, store and remove materials
  •   Maintains and changes hilo and automated guided vehicle (AGV) batteries
  •   Assists and trains other employees on an on-going basis
  •   May be asked to perform the duties of Distribution Generalist on as needed basis
  •  Learns other duties outside of day-to-day responsibilities by serving as "back up" for other roles on as needed basis
  •   Keeps work area clean and organized
  •  Specific duties vary by assignment.  Other job duties as assigned and related work as required to maximize productivity of work area.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Ability to operate a stand up Hilo, sit down Hilo and Turret trucks


  • Basic computer skills to include inputting, retrieving and analyzing data input into various warehouse programs and applications in the accomplishment of daily responsibilities.  Corrects or coordinates the resolution of discrepancies
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools in the accomplishment of daily responsibilities to include but are not limited to: a personal computer, pallet jack, calculator, utility knife, general cleaning equipment, label printers, box makers, tape machine, RF system, shrink wrap machine and copiers
  • Knowledge of 24 volt and 48 volt batteries, battery safety and the ability to change Hilo batteries
  • Ability to logically think through and understand process and production requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well and proactively communicate with individuals throughout the company in a cooperative, constructive and positive manner
  • Willingness to pursue continuous improvement and offer solutions to processing problems and issues
  •  Ability to also perform the functions of a Distribution Generalist responsibilities
  •  Ability to interface with customers using good customer service skills
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • High School Diploma / GED
