What do we need:

An industrial engineer who can help us eliminate time, money, materials and other non-value-added activities and costs.  The incumbent would have the responsibility for process improvement and support on-going operational initiatives.

The Industrial & Systems Engineering group, is a hardworking team of about 10, focused on delivering systems and analytics for our manufacturing team.  This team works heavily with cross functional partners such as innovation & sciences, quality, maintenance, planning, finance and manufacturing to provide internal consulting support. 

 

You will join a team of software developers and industrial engineers that are charged with designing and implementing a process-led manufacturing technology solution.   This group partners with similar teams located at our manufacturing operations in India and China.

In this role you will support the process for developing manufacturing estimates, help identify bottlenecks, manage metrics, and consult internally to contribute to manufacturing effectiveness.  The successful candidate will lead projects with outside vendors, stakeholders, and project partners utilizing your manufacturing knowledge to attain successful outcomes. 

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 0 – 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong process engineering skills based on sound engineering and scientific principles
  • Must have Lean, Kaizen, DOE, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, or related experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills with all levels of professionals
  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, operations research, management science or a related field desired

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, preferably in food & beverage / cGMP industries
  • Knowledge of ERP, MES, OSI PI, Industry 4.0, and simulation
  • Experience in big data, Machine Learning, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft BI, and SQL would be helpful
  • Experience managing budgets, building timelines, and providing cost estimates is desirable
