Job title:                             Senior Network Engineer

Salary Range:                   $97,843-$126,621 per year plus an annual bonus

Location:                            Ada, MI (Hybrid)

 

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help design and architect our Global Network Infrastructure. You will be part of a global team distributed over three infrastructure technology hubs. As a Senior Network Engineer at Amway, you will be the subject matter expert in all networks related infrastructure and services. In this role, you are designing and architecting Amway’s global network infrastructure, to support business requirements for performance, functionality, capacity, costs & security. Your ability to work collaboratively will be valued in this role as you work broadly with many internal clients and/or other Technology teams.

 

In this role you will act as a key point of contact for the Americas region as well as for our main campus facility in ADA, Michigan. You will lead the design, setup, and implementation of network engineering projects, mindful of quality, cost, and timely completion. Your capabilities to lead and support technical projects independently, together with strong communication skills are a key requirement for this position. You should be open-minded and motivated to work in a multicultural international environment.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a Technology field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Network Engineering in an international environment.
  • Mandatory Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching, desirable Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching.
  • Thorough knowledge of all network technologies, including Data Center, Wireless and Security.
  • Strong experience in deploying global wide area and production networks.
  • Strong background with Network vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 and other network technology leaders.
  • Extensive experience in defining standards, life cycle management and cost analysis for data network hardware and network management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in Public Cloud technologies with strong knowledge and expertise in deploying network architecture in the Cloud.
  • Great troubleshooting skills and experience with network analyzing tools like Wireshark.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and experience in leading and working in an agile project environment.

What’s special about this team:

The Network Engineering Team, is a multicultural team of currently 5 team members, focused to design and architect Amway’s Global Network Infrastructure. This team is responsible for the network infrastructure related portfolio of Amway, including WAN, LAN, Wireless, Security, Data Center, Load balancing, Cloud and others. The teams works very close together with cross functional partners like Platform Engineering or Market IT Teams as well as our Network Operations Team responsible for the day-to-day operations.
