What are we looking for:

As a Sourcing Manager/Project Manager on the team, you will bring Procurement acumen to help influence risk mitigation strategies and optimize supply chain spend, to ensure the best overall economic value for Amway.  The Project Management responsibilities of the role will allow you to lead cross functional teams to deliver impactful enterprise results including cost savings, value chain resiliency, and risk mitigation.  This role reports directly to the Manager of Direct Procurement. 


What’s special about this team:

The Direct Procurement Department is a talented, energetic team of 14 individuals responsible for developing sourcing strategies, building and managing supplier relationships, and ensuring optimal cost competitiveness for Amway.  The team supports different categories that are produced by Amway’s Manufacturing operations, as well as external contract manufacturers. 

 

What’s special about this role:

This role is unique, as it encompasses both sourcing manager, and project management responsibilities. You will lead sourcing strategies and provide project management leadership to propel strategic project teams, focusing on projects that deliver cost savings and resiliency to the value chain.  Your strong ability to influence and lead will be necessary as you work collaboratively with many internal partners to identify project opportunities, build strategies and implement the projects.  You will focus on cost management through value engineering, technical qualifications and cross-functional coordination. You will be guiding the outcome of successful partnerships in optimizing cost and seeking solutions for supply challenges that arise and help influence strategies of your internal business partners.  Your ability to lead and influence teams, and build supply chain resiliency, will continue to drive our business forward.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field
  • A minimum of 6 years industry related experience, with a preference towards Supply Chain, Project Management, Manufacturing or R&D is preferred.
