Primary Responsibilities:

General Legal Support:

• Contract Reviews: - To review, modify, and counsel on business contracts for mitigating legal risks and achieving the objectives of company businesses. - To standardize contract management processes to ensure legal compliance. - To provide legal training to employees

Litigation:

- To handle and provide advice on company’s disputes and litigation cases, intellectual property matters, and product regulatory issues.

Employee Relations:

- To handle employment-related legal matters, including contracts, policies, and employee relations.

Research & Advice:

- To research the legal issues (upon requested) and providing legal opinions in order to comply with relevant laws and minimizing the risks of disputes.

External Affairs:

– To coordinate with external organizations, whether governmental or private sectors, in order to achieve business objectives and comply with relevant laws.

Compliance:

- Implement and develop compliance policy - To study the company’s business/ products/ services/ activities and compiling laws that are relevant with the proposed matters. - To implement and issue compliance policies which should be complied by the company and employees - To develop and update the compliance policies according to the changes of laws/situations.

Arrange compliance training

- To arrange compliance training for educating the company’s relevant staff.

 

Monitor and control

- To monitor the company’s staff and operations in order to make sure that the compliance policies are properly complied.

• Risk Mitigation:

- Conduct legal reviews to identify and mitigate risks associated with business initiatives.

- Provide legal support for distributor compensation plan and Rules issues.

• Legal Administration:

- Manage the legal budget and coordinate with outside counsel.

 

Qualifications

Thailand-licensed attorney with 15 or more years of experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel at multinational businesses.

• Strong communication skills and fluency in both spoken and written English, including the ability to represent the organization before internal and external groups.

• Persuasion and negotiation skills with clients, management, and professionals.

• Understanding of business drivers and processes.

• Conflict resolution and consulting skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Solid judgment and demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice in view of conflicting or unclear legislative/regulatory mandates.

• Highest degree of ethics, honesty, and conviction.

• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.
