Job Title:                               Team Leader – Manufacturing (Day Shift)

Department / Division:    East Mill Plant /  Manufacturing

Salary Range:                     $69,472 - $89,905

Location:                              Ephrata, WA

 

What do we need:

  • We are looking to hire a Team Leader to join our East Mill team. This person will work on a five-day from Monday – Friday from 7 am – 5:00 pm

 

What’s special about this job:

  • The Trout Lake Farm (East Mill) is a manufacturing facility that begins the first step of making organic herbs grown on our own farms into high quality ingredients. Organic herbs processed in this facility are used as ingredients in Amway’s Nutrilite line of vitamins. As a Team Leader in the plant, you will be part of a collaborative team, learning all aspects of the plant’s operations. This role will have a focused career progression with a skill development system that allows for promotion.
  • The East Mill runs seasonally for 16 hours (2 shifts) a day during the Harvest/Peak Processing season (May – January), 8 hours a day (February – April).  Weekend overtime is occasionally required during peak harvest windows with teams divided on Saturday or Sunday coverage teams rotating on a weekly basis as needed.
  • In this role, you will be on a team tasked with developing and supporting our manufacturing strategy focused on safely delivering a consistent supply of cost-competitive, quality products to our customers worldwide. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work closely with supply chain partners as operations reach a steady state and stabilize. 

 

 How you would contribute to the role:

  • As the Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day work of your manufacturing team, support plant initiatives and processes, and focus on raising the bar to the next level of optimization. In addition to leading your group, you will work on future growth opportunities for the operation. This multi-functional role will support training, motivation, and feedback to team members.  You will be responsible for shift assignments, staffing, maintaining performance standards, conducting performance reviews, and setting the example for modeling team behaviors. 
  •  From an operational standpoint, you will focus on providing a safe work environment that delivers quality products. Your passion for leadership in this plant will allow you to demonstrate transformative results in a dynamic work environment. You will lead an exciting team and be responsible for solving problems to deliver highly impactful operational results.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience (High school diploma or Bachelor's degree)
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, or working in a cGMP environment is preferred
  • Experience in data collection and tracking metrics over time
  • Familiarity with key manufacturing systems (PLM, ETQ, Learn Share, Compliance Wire) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with JDE or Tableau is a plus
