Lead IT Asset Management Specialist

 

Responsibilities

  • Review and plan resources (people, tools, services) and existing processes that can be used to gather and analyze data in relation to digital technology asset life cycles and related processes
  • Contact point to engage with procurement, legal, tax and accountancy functions to get applicable advices
  • Investigates available equipment/assets, evaluates appropriateness based on user requirements and provide recommendations on next actions to management
  • Develop reporting on remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and progress of optimization activity
  • Develop action plans to execute the cascaded strategic development and daily operation of the organization’s ITAM processes and systems
  • Lead in the following area to:
    • Review, create policies and processes to manage software and hardware lifecycle with continuous improvement on the policies and processes to maintain efficiency
    • Define the governance structures
    • Conduct audits of software licensing compliance (as necessary) to validate/prove the systems/process effectiveness and accuracy
    • Adoption of ITAM processes/practices through designing and delivering of asset tracking practices/policies on global basis
  • Coordinates the procurement of hardware, software and services between IT and Strategic Procurement.
  • Manages ordering, receipt and disposal processes for IT hardware and software and telecom equipment.
  • Provide coaching and develop applicable competencies to train team members

 

Requirements

  • Degree in related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in related field
  • 10 years of experience with IT, enterprise asset management or information management
  • 8 years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients
  • Extensive working knowledge including engagement with procurement, business stakeholders and frontline operational IT staff.
  • Prior ITAM roles (hardware or software) or demonstrable experience of working with IT asset management professionals to deliver ITAM capability and improved business outcomes
  • Deep knowledge of Software Licensing across a range of key software vendors and their enterprise licensing vehicles (including: Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, AWS, etc).
  • Experience leading system or tool implementations with responsibility for verifying capabilities, outputs, dependencies and implementation scope.
  • Expert level experience working with Legal on audits from software & hardware vendors. This includes working and trusting relationships with Legal, Procurement, IT.
  • ITIL qualifications and experience would be highly beneficial
  • Certified in any IAITAM disciplines will be an added advantage.
