Key Responsibilities
 

Supervisory Role:

  • Managing a team of approximately 10 people
  • Hold direct reports accountable for their performance by providing feedback, coaching and assessment.
  • Manage performance appraisal process.
  • Guide staff on the individual development plans
  • Responsible for staff onboarding and training.
  • Create an inspiring environment with an open communication culture.

 

Operational Role:

  • Provide leadership to the team on OTC & Bonus daily activities to achieve maximum operations efficiency.
  • Responsible for day-to-day OTC & Bonus operations, ensuring delivery according to process requirements within US-GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Control over the AR period end closes, BS Reconciliation
  • Perform quarterly B/S reviews (OTC & Bonus related accounts) for US GAAP reporting compliance.
  • Assure process compliance with local and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control system.
  • Close cooperation with other teams inside Finance function to ensure smooth processes execution and effective financial support for business functions across APAC.
  • Effectively communicate and cascade the company strategic goals.
  • Develop and monitor team performance measures and ensure high quality and standard.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Perform risk assessment, prepare, and execute risk mitigation plan in cooperation with Process Manager
  • Support Affiliates in finance-related processes, being a main contact point between Affiliates and GBS on an operational level.

 

Process Improvement & Standardization:

  • Support Finance Transformation Project for Global Business Services
  • Work with the team to identify gaps in processes and propose and drive improvement actions.
  • Support team members in the implementation of initiatives for improving relevant processes,
  • Identify and prioritize process optimization and harmonization opportunities through assessing Pain Points and sharing Best Practices between the markets/regions in cooperation with Process Owner.
  • Monitor process related metrics, Issue Log and other quality and performance tools.
  • Support continuous development culture aligned with Lean methodology.
  • Responsible for monitoring and supervising changes to business processes, systems, and structures, playing a crucial role in ensuring that staff members embrace the change.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree preferable in accounting/finance or relevant Professional Qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA / ICAEW)
  • Preferably 7 years of working experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is a must.
  • Excellent command of English with multi-mode communications capability
  • US GAAP and ERP systems knowledge (Oracle, JDE, SAP) will be an asset.
  • Experience with project management and data analysis tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query) will be an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Lean methodology knowledge and experience in lean implementation is a strong asset.
