Global Subfamily Responsibilities
Designs, develops, administers and consults on compensation and benefits policies, procedures, practices and programs that are cost effective and provide strong competitive positioning for the organization. Programs include (but are not limited to): base pay and incentive pay, job definition, evaluation and classification, paid-time off programs (ie. vacation, holiday, sick leave), income continuance, perquisites such as vehicles, allowances, medical/dental/vision coverage, short and/or long-term disability, group life and/or auto insurance, retirement/pension plans, supplemental retirement programs, savings programs, unemployment, workers compensation and leaves of absence.
Responsibilities include:
- Consulting with leaders at all levels and providing recommendations on all compensation and benefits issues
- Developing, consulting and overseeing communications to all levels of employees, HR and business leaders
- Conducting and/or participating in surveys
- Utilizing surveys to evaluate market competitiveness and study trends
- Developing proposals to change or offer new programs/offerings based on an evaluation of research, surveys and analysis - within a country, region and/or enterprise-wide, balancing the market, company policy and budgetary limitations
- Managing vendors including selection of consultants, administrators and providers
- Consulting with clients/HR on organization and job design to include analyzing new and/or revised job descriptions and specifications ensuring alignment to global framework
- Presenting, documenting, administering and applying policies, procedures, practices and programs resulting in consistent and repeatable application of job evaluation methodology, grading and techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization
- Analyzing and interpreting government regulations, company policies and contracts/agreements (if applicable) to establish and/or recommend rates/offerings
- Reviewing job and compensation changes and making recommendations with respect to change management processes
- Maintaining, updating and continuously improving tools, systems or processes used to administer compensation and benefit programs to include participating or leading the development of framework where it doesn’t exist currently

Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive pay for performance philosophy through the execution of all compensation programs.
- Provide consulting support to HR & Business managers on Rewards matters
- Administer the annual rewards cycle (Merit, STI, LTI) for assigned markets and related communication, ensuring alignment with global framework and local needs.
- Conduct job evaluations using the global framework to ensure consistency and keep job architecture and have relevant documentation.
- Conduct market benchmarking using survey data, develop pay-ranges and ensure pay range competitiveness.
- Maintain and update internal compensation records and salary structures across assigned markets.
- Provide guidance to market HR partners and teams on offers, promotions, and Rewards programs interpretation.
- Contribute to the review and implementation of benefits programs by sharing market insights in line with global approach.
- Track external trends and provide input to help ensure total rewards offerings remain aligned with market practices.
- Assist with governance processes, including documentation, internal controls, and audit support related to compensation practices.
- Collaborate with broader global Rewards COE teams on compensation-related projects and systems improvements.
- Support HRBPs in developing training materials, communication and change management of compensation policies, programs, processes and recommendations.
- Support rewards capability building by sharing knowledge and conducting training sessions for Rewards related topics.

Required Knowledge & Skills and/or Related Experience:
- Compensation and benefit plan design, implementation and administration
- Reading, interpreting and drawing accurate conclusions from technical or business materials
- Researching and analyzing various types of data/information/market trends to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues and proactively identify gaps
- Partnering with team members to ensure equitable application of methods, policies and practices to include developing tools/materials, as necessary to ensure consistent ongoing application of policies and practices globally
- Presenting, documenting and providing timely information with a high level of accuracy in a usable format
- Effectively communicating and presenting complex data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and audiences; helps others understand data and translate it into actionable business insights
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience:
Proficient grasp of the following:
- Mercer methodology of job evaluation
- Supporting, consulting or administering compensation and/or benefits programs in multiple countries
- Incentive plan design and administration
- Effectively providing technical and/or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; knowledge of applicable tools and techniques to maximize consulting effectiveness
- Developing and maintaining effective and productive relationships, including an ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts effectively and constructively with clients, vendors and peers
- Recognizing and balancing changing priorities to include interruptions and deadline revisions
- Ability to actively listen and understand business needs and deal with difficult issues and tough messages with empathy and care.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the long-term, “big picture” view of needs and opportunities
- Use and improvement of recognized compensation and/or benefits related software systems, databases and applications to include use of typical office suite software packages, particularly with Microsoft Excel
- A thorough grasp of the English language.
