The Executive & Global Strategic Communications Team is tasked with connecting employees, Amway Business Owners and external influencers to our enterprise direction through timely, relevant and credible communications. They also are tasked to support Amway’s C-Suite executives with communications and messaging that informs and inspires employees and Amway Business Owners to bring Amway’s vision and goals to life.

 

Partnering closely with executive leadership, this team promotes our vision, values, goals, and corporate culture through key messaging that engages employees and bring clarity around business priorities. In this position, you would report directly to the Director Global Amway Brand.

This role is very strategic. In this position, you will be responsible for a couple of main bodies of work: leading the global communications strategy for the Accelerate A70 plan for the APAC region, leading Amway’s responses to public relations issues and other highly-sensitive situations, and creating a community of practice for Public Relations partners throughout Asia.

 

Accelerate A70: A70 is the overarching strategy to continue Amway’s success through the next 10 years and beyond. You will work to create regionally relevant communications content that reflects the global strategy and that helps the Amway Business Owners (ABOs), senior leadership, employees, and media engage and embrace with the plan. You will provide your communications expertise to work out the best method, timing, and content, making sure that they A70 plan is embraced in your region. This means you will have close collaboration with the Global communications and Strategy teams.

 

Strategic Communications: You will be the point person for special strategic communications situations. These situations can be extremely time-sensitive, high-priority, high-profile, and may be assigned directly by the CEO. We’ll need your help in developing an individual response plan for these situations with support from the VP and other senior Communications team members. This will require putting pieces of information together quickly and making rapid assessments of what Amway’s positioning and response should be, if one is required. You will have to keep abreast of current events and try to get ahead situations that may require a strategic response.

 

Creating a Community of Practice: Lastly, you will be asked to foster a global community of practice for Public Relations, of which you will be a leader and moderator. This will mean proactively reaching out to market partners, ensuring that messaging is aligned and consistent.

 

This position is global. As such there will be calls at non-standard times such as early morning and late evening. Travel can also be expected.

 

Requirements:-

You have at least 8 years of experience in corporate communications strategy, public relations, or government affairs during which you handled unique high-profile situations through thoughtful, tactful response.

You have shown the ability to successfully influence and advise others, such as senior leadership, without direct authority.

You have experience with Media Training or Spokesperson Training

You have a high level of comfort with Senior Leadership and can display high levels of professionalism.
