Responsibilities:

 

  • Define Strategy and plans to support regionalization of Sourcing and purchasing indirect materials and services for Physical Presence and Professional Services categories in APAC
    Works very closely with internal clients to: identify sourcing needs; conduct buy/market profiles; define acceptable service levels.
  • Develops sourcing strategies; solicits/analyzes request for proposals; negotiates contracts and coordinates supplier integration plan with internal client, which then entails the extensive development of local suppliers to support the business in this region.
     
    Gather market intelligence and operation detail to develop category strategies, adding value to market by providing innovative solutions
  •  Support sourcing leads in all markets for projects related to his/her categories

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or any related   with 10+ years’ experience
  • Sourcing Mastery (Sourcing Strategy, Industry Analysis, Supplier Relationship Management, Commercial Contracting, Negotiation, Competitive Bidding, Economic Analysis, Linking, Leveraging, Competitive Analysis, and knowledge of P2P systems/work processes).
  • Leadership Skills (Organization Development, Communication, Strategy).
  • Articulates Vision and Strategies to Win: Aligns group/department strategy with multiyear corporate strategy and creates clear links throughout group/department; articulates the vision in an energizing and inspiring manner; explains line-of-sight to business imperatives
  • Communicate Business Information: Effectively communicating and presenting complex data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audiences; helps others understand data and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Global Cultural Awareness: Culturally aware of the impact of their actions and seeks to work collaboratively with personnel of all regions of the globe.
  • Project Management: Establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Linking & Leveraging: Delivers a competitive advantage by linking Amway business needs to supplier and industry capabilities and innovation via in-depth knowledge of industries and suppliers.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Sourcing Strategy delivers required business results by appropriately applying the concepts needed to determine/develop sourcing strategies and to modify those existing strategies as required by changing business and market conditions.  - Supplier Analysis: Supplier Analysis develops a superior understanding of supplier capability, and uses that understanding to deliver that supplier’s goods, services, technologies, etc., to provide optimum total value results to the business.
  • Business Partner Relationship Management: Procurement manages relationships with our key internal Business Partners to know and understand their business needs. Procurement can build relationships by utilizing tools such as the Joint Business Plan process, initiative list management and effective persuasive selling skills.
  • Commercial Agreements: Procurement drafts and executes (in partnership with Legal) pertinent written agreements for ongoing requirements (purchase orders, leases, Contracts, etc.)
