This job posting is for our summer 2021 Internship Program (May – August); qualified candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and one semester or more left of school to complete at the beginning of their internship. Candidates who have graduated are not eligible to intern.

Internship Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Nutrition Internship


What is special about this team: The Nutrition Regulatory Affairs & Safety team functions as a progressive global group that ensures product compliance and safety in every step of the product lifecycle. This group delivers scientifically sound regulatory strategies, which provide our Amway business owners confidence that they are selling a superior product. Nutrition Global Regulatory Affairs is a function within Amway that works to evaluate ingredients, formulas and claims resulting in strategies for launching products around the world. This work is an essential part of the development process and helps to drive directionally decisions on formulation, specifications, labeling, claims and registration of products both Domestically and Internationally.  


How would an intern contribute to the team’s success? Candidates will leave with a working knowledge of nutrition regulations and resources for finding relevant information. They will gain exposure to many different cross-functional departments, international regulatory counterparts and different levels of the organization. Candidates will gain development in essential skills such as risk assessment, communication and interpretation of regulations. 


An example of a typical project is:  An example project would involve researching a specific topic for related regulatory requirements (i.e. organic, contaminants) and considerations. Then working to put together a regulatory strategy to meet regulations in our top markets including China, India, USA, and South East Asia. 


What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship?

     Desired Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking, global awareness, solution-oriented and attention to details. 

     Desired Degree: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Regulatory, Food Science or equivalent.
