What do we need:


We are looking for sharp individual to assist in both the development of key internal Customer Service apps and be a hands-on Administrator for some of the tools that our Development team uses from day to day.

What’s special about this team:


The America’s IT Internal Solutions team plays an integral role in delivering solutions directly for our customers and colleagues throughout North, Central and South America.  You will be joining a team of 11 Developers, Solution Architects, and Business Systems Analysts that are making transformative changes throughout the Americas region. You would be reporting to one our Manager of ABO Solutions (a fancy way of saying Software Development Manager)


How you would contribute to the role:


As a Software Developer on the Internal Solutions team, you will work collectively within an agile team that is responsible for the definition, design, and implementation of solutions and frameworks used within the region.


But let’s boil it down: The work you do on the Customer Service applications will help make our Customer Service team better, which in turn makes our ABOs happy.


You will be responsible for the following:

  • Development on 2 key Customer Service apps, prompted by Jira tickets
  • Serve as a day to day Application Administrator work on Jira and Confluence for the Developer team with work prompted by our ServiceNow ticketing tool
  • Participate in daily standup meetings


To accomplish this, you will have a blend of training that is customized to your needs. We will invest in you in training with our Senior Developers and on-site training for the Customer Service apps. After a period of training, you will have the autonomy to decide how your time is split in terms of App Admin work and Developer work.


You will have the room to grow into a Senior member of the team, and you’ll have the ability to continue your learning. In fact, we encourage it. We want to help you grow by allowing you to take advantage of conferences, webinars, visits from vendors, and other opportunities for professional development.


What skills and background will be important to be successful:


  • 2-3 years of experience developing cool software using Java
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with the Agile Principles
  • Hands-on experience in with Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to travel internationally on occasion (pretty rare, but still)
