Job Title: Distribution Associate I – 3rd Shift 

Department / Division: Southeast Service Center / Logistics

Location: Norcross, GA

 

 

What do we need:

We are looking for a Distribution Associate to join our team in our Southeast Service Center facility.

 

What’s special about this job:

The Logistics Division is responsible for supporting our customers, manufacturing plants and global affiliates through their warehousing and Service Centers across the United States. They support all aspects of our business throughout the supply chain, including the final orders to our customers. Our motto is “Perfect Orders Every Time,” and we strive to exceed our customer’s expectations through a flexible and agile workforce. The Southeast Service Center (SESC) is based in Norcross, Georgia. As a Distribution Associate I on the team, you will ensure that product is properly received, and that orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped out to our customers. This position will work the 2nd Shift Schedule which operates Sunday – Thursday (ending Friday morning) from 11:00pm – 7:00am. 

 

How you would contribute to the role:

You will have multiple responsibilities in this role. This will include timely and accurate receiving, processing, and verifying of incoming shipments to ensure stock is received and replenished. You will also pick, pack, and ship orders to customers, confirming shipment counts with packing slips, and purchase order numbers. You will learn to operate a Hilo to load and unload trucks, as well as store and move materials. You will also occasionally interact with customers who pick up their orders at the Service Center. This position will require employees to be available Sunday night through Saturday night with the department determining which days will comprise the 40 hour work week based upon scheduling demands.

 

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment involving merchandise handling. 1 to 3 years is preferred. Prior experience working with an RF system is a plus.

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Ability to interface with customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Basic computer skills to include inputting, retrieving and analyzing data input into various warehouse programs and applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with basic math skills
  • Ability to operate a Hilo and obtain a Hilo license.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools in a safe manner. This may include a pallet jack, utility knife, and shrink wrap machine.
