Job Title: Distribution Generalist - 2nd shift

Department / Division:  Logistics / Access Logistics

Location: Norcross, GA


What do we need:

We are looking for a Distribution Generalist to join our team in our Southeast Service Center facility.


What’s special about this job:

 The Logistics Division is responsible for supporting our customers, manufacturing plants, and global affiliates through their warehousing and Service Centers across the United States and Canada. They support all aspects of our business throughout the supply chain, including the final orders to our customers. Their motto is “Perfect Orders Every Time,” and they strive to exceed their customers’ expectations through a flexible and agile workforce. The Southeast Service Center (SESC) is based in Norcross, Georgia, and provides pick, pack, and ship services to local Amway Business Owners and customers. As a Distribution Generalist on the team, you will work with customers, handle merchandise, including loading, unloading, repacking, and replenishing merchandise. This position will work the 2nd Shift Schedule which operates Monday - Friday from 3:00pm -11:00pm.


How you would contribute to the role:

You will have multiple responsibilities and variety in this role. Your attention to detail will be appreciated as you efficiently and accurately fulfill customer orders while inspecting the orders to ensure quality standards are met. You will identify, pick, process, label/relabel, pack/repack products for shipping. Your ability to strategically load customer packages onto a trailer will be valued as you work to avoid damage and package tip-overs. As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to assist and train other employees and temporary staff on a regular basis.


Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs.
  • Experience in an industrial or warehouse setting preferred


Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Basic computer skills to include inputting, retrieving and verifying the accuracy of data input into various warehouse programs and applications
  • Utilizing strong organizational skills with logical thinking skills to understand process and production requirements
  • Demonstrated willingness for continuous improvement, offering solutions to process problems and issues as a part of a collaborative team
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills with safety as a top priority
  • Ability to use a manual pallet jack
