Job title:                               Compensation Specialist

Salary Range:                            $76,017 - $98,375 per year, plus annual bonus

Location:                              Ada, MI

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Compensation professional to partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices that enable us to attract and retain top talent and drive high performance. We need someone to serve as a trusted advisor to identify and address compensation opportunities and assist leaders in making data-driven decisions.

The Corporate Compensation team develops, implements and administers Amway’s compensation and incentive pay policies, practices and programs in support of our strong employment brand. We partner with other Human Resources professionals and leaders at all levels of the organization to ensure competitive pay and provide recommendations on all compensation issues.

If you are seeking to expand your compensation expertise more broadly, this may be the perfect opportunity!  You will serve as the subject matter expert in corporate compensation, leading job analysis and job evaluation using the Korn Ferry methodology.  You will lead strategic market analysis, plan design and administration, pay range development, etc., and may also have the opportunity to work cross functionally in the total rewards space on projects outside the US.  Partnering with a broader team, you will act as a compensation consultant, informing pay decision that impact our ability to attract and retain top talent and drive high performance at Amway.

Required qualifications:

 

  • Minimum three years’ experience as a Compensation professional in a corporate environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other related employment laws and regulations
  • Experience offering a variety of solutions around compensation practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of compensation best practices and principles and experience developing and implementing compensations programs
  • Robust skills in Microsoft applications, particularly strong in Excel. 
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, extracting and interpreting data to provide meaningful solutions
  • BS degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related discipline

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effective consultative skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to provide guidance and consultation to all levels of business leaders, HR leaders and colleagues
  • Strong analytics skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with client groups and HR.
