What do we need:
We are seeking an Experience Design Manager to head a team that designs experiences that are effortless, delightful, and valuable to customers and business owners.
What’s special about this role:
You will cultivate a deep understanding of consumer needs across the journey and be able to identify the intersection of these needs and business goals. You are intensely interested in experience design, passionate about learning, and should view every customer interaction as an opportunity to create an exceptional customer experience. View the customer journey from end to end and identify gaps and opportunities to improve that experience. This role will:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand the problem to solve, business owner needs, and experience vision
- Approach complex business problems, aligning divergent stakeholder teams to a common plan
- Lead the experience design team to generate ideas, prototype, and test with business owners
- Define the criteria and method to go from lots of ideas to a few critical solutions
- Understand and help coordinate content, data, technology, people and process that need to come together to make the experience work as designed
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to digital product teams to ensure the end to end experience is seamless, designed around customer needs, and will improve our business
- Work closely with digital product teams to understand root causes of business owner pain points, identify opportunity areas, and drive the right solutions to exceed expectations
- Work closely with digital product teams and partner organizations (agencies and tech partners) to lead digital product design
- Manage complexity and resources by systematically prioritizing multiple streams of work
- Continuously test and learn, seeking out new information and leveraging data to drive decision-making
Required qualifications:
- 12 years of interactive strategy experience and/or direct responsibility for managing digital technologies
- Demonstrated experience in UI, CX, or digital design with an understanding of how to leverage digital platforms and experiences to solve complex business problems
- BA/BS in Design, Digital Technology, or Information Systems

- Proven track record of implementing breakthrough concepts and ideas with creativity and agility, inspiring cross-functional belief and delivery
- You are an articulate and persuasive communicator
- You have offered strategic insight or oversight in the creative briefing process in your past and have straddled multiple projects or brands at one time.
- You willingly mentor and provide leadership within the team and across product teams in an agile environment
- You strive to be a learn-it-all, not a know-it-all. Your curiosity propels you forward as you tackle new challenges in unfamiliar territory. You’re constantly working to hone your craft and evaluating which skill to learn next.
