            California & Washington D.C: $99,576-$128,863 per year plus an annual bonus

            New York: $105,135-$136,057 per year plus an annual bonus

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Software Developer who will act as a liaison with business partners to ensure that IT plans, and strategies are aligned to support the needs of the business. You will leverage demand and portfolio management processes to maximize value to the business. You would be responsible to design solutions by extracting and defining business requirements, prepare detailed schematics of transaction and business flows, and translate them into solution designs, functional designs, and user experience designs. You would perform configurations, development, and extensions to software to meet end user requirements. You will stay informed of new developments within the business, industry, and technology trends and provide Subject Matter leadership in Application Development and technology.

 

In this role you will be expected to provide solutions using RP and BY WMS applications to meet various warehouse management business requirements. You will also plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the other technical team members as it relates to the project. You will represent the strategic direction of Amway Business interests and advocate system and business harmonization for all markets globally.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with solution design, development, and implementation.
  • Experience in implementation/support of Red Prairie/BY WMS Web based applications in a multi-warehouse environment with large scale retail operations.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain operations & warehousing.

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • In depth knowledge of RP/BY WMS application and BY WMS architecture (Web based version)
  • Proficiency in MOCA and its architecture
  • Full knowledge of Integrator and ability to create and customize the inbound and outbound transactions between WMS and ERP/Host systems
  • Strong technical skills in Oracle SQL/PL SQL
  • Strong technical skills in Shell scripting / Linux
  • Knowledge of Java, Groovy, JS Script
  • Experience in Developing DDAs
  • Development experience in Jasper Reports and creating Labels
  • Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to drive alignment and seek solutions
  • Strong communication and team management and design skills
  • Must be a highly organized, self-starter and proven measurable experience with all aspects of Agile methodology
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends and best practices across IT enterprise

The Value Chain is a group of cross functional supply chain experts who are trained to understand the inner workings of the supply chain processes and the many systems that support them.  This group is highly motivated to work to enhance existing processes; correct production issues; train stakeholders on configuration of systems, execution of processes; error corrections; as well as author and own business process designs and work instructions for end users. 

 

This unique team works with many different cross functional partners across the many facets of the entire Amway supply chain so there are always new opportunities for building relationships and experience many learnings, each day.  This includes a team residing in multiple countries, with various career backgrounds, increasing exposure to different cultures, experiences, and ways of working.  Being a part of the technology group opens opportunities for learning deep system(s) process logic enabling these subject matter expert roles to influence better solutioning for process enhancements, global supply chain projects, issues resolutions and efficiencies.
