Associate Software Developer II

 

What do we need?

The Future State LOS & VCS product team is seeking an Associate Software Developer to assist in the design and development of a serverless AWS based applications to be used across Amway globally. 

What’s special about our team?

The delivery team working on the Future State LOS & VCS is responsible for building cutting edge cloud technologies within our ABO Ecosystem. This delivery team is part of a larger team of software developers and systems analysts with a mix of both internal employees and outside industry experts. This team thrives on collaboration and working together to create the best solutions possible to support our Amway Business Owners across the globe. This team is a self-managed, hardworking group of high achievers that has been working very closely with the regional initiative across the globe providing all ABO Incentive capabilities. This role reports up through the Manager of the Future State LOS & VCS team. 

 Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with AWS technologies in an Agile Delivery setting
  • Experience leading projects requiring technical expertise and leadership
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS serverless technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • AWS Architect, AWS DevOps, or applicable AWS certifications would be desirable.

How you would contribute to the role:

As a Associate Software Developer II, you will be responsible for leading the team to implement the future state technologies for the ABO Ecosystem using Agile methodologies for delivering results. This environment promotes frequent collaboration with your teammates. You will be doing mainly full stack development. You’ll work to build out the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and develop Prototype to evaluate new solutions for market-specific functionality.

 

This team is working on moving from a monolithic, on-premise architecture to an Agile, cloud-based solution. They’ll rely on your knowledge of AWS cloud computing to accomplish this. You would be measured on your contribution to the rollout of this future state, and how well you help the other developers learn AWS

 

Daily, you will:

  • Partner with stakeholders on learning the business and ways to make a difference to our customers
  • Partner with other Developers to increase their coding knowledge and skills
  • Building protypes and newer technologies to support our ABO ecosystem
  • Update the team on your accomplishments and daily goals in the morning Stand-up meeting
  • Develop and test applications
  • Deliver best in class security-based solutions

 

To assist you in doing all of this, you will be given access to all the necessary and common development and collaboration tools. You will also go through a class to teach you the business rules and the ABO Ecosystem if necessary. You’ll do a lot of the heavy development lifting in this role. Some of the technologies you will have access to are AWS serverless developer tooling, Agile product management tooling leveraging Jira/Confluence and many other.
