KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for entire project lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and ending all the significant areas
  • Identify and pro-actively solve project related challenges
  • To build project plans and associated communications documents and develop all relevant detailed documents as required
  • Create, implement and monitor strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
  • Monitor and report project benefits and budget Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Manage project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Coordinate and deliver progress reports, documentation and presentations
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Enact Agile and Scrum principles and ensuring the teams follow these processes
  • Organize and facilitate sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, demos, and other Agile/Scrum related ceremonies.
  • Adapt plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout software development sprints and releases
  • Facilitate the transformation of high-level business requirements into detailed and succinct backlogs, stories, and functional products.
  • Drive, track, and communicate the progress of sprints and releases through team capacity, velocity, sprint burndown charts, JIRA reports, successful builds and deployments, and other metrics using JIRA and Confluence
  • Ensure a Sprint Schedule is visible in JIRA for the full release with fully t-shirt sized epics and stories planned out into Sprints

 

Required Knowledge & Skills and/or Related Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent, preferably with at least 3 years of leading a SCRUM team and minimum 3 years’ experience in managing web and native mobile applications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing customer facing projects (web application and/or native mobile applications); have had responsibility for a numerous successful projects (delivered on time, meeting client requirements, with high team satisfaction), including some complex projects, and projects involving a number of project staff and clients
  • Experience in Agile Project Management methodologies is a must
  • Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be a team player & work well under pressure & tight deadlines
  • Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent. Evaluates alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
  • Able to work with team members and stakeholders in multiple time zones (United States, India, SEA)
  • Develops improvements and innovations to enhance performance.
  • Must be self-motivated and strive in a "hands off" environment.
  • Creativity and imaginative are added advantage.
  • Good understanding of the software development cycle and UX design is an advantage.
  • High command of verbal and written English. Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Self-motivated and action-and-results oriented.
  • Well organized, good communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience in performing the Agile Delivery Lead role, applying Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Good skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge and experience with successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing
  • Ability to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
  • Knowledge in Online Learning Experience Systems is a plus
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Prince 2 Agile similar certifications will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
