Copy Writer & Translation Lead

Responsibilities :

• Accountable for the accuracy, and high-quality Chinese editorials and translations that meet the deadlines for the production of company’s periodicals (which includes but not limited to the eNewsgram, Amway website& AmwayNow websites, WhatsApp groups & social media) and other communication materials

• To vet all copy to be used for company publications, product labeling, letters, etc., to ensure the accuracy and correct usage of trade names, trademarks, names and information

• Ensure that ABOs receive clear, accurate and easy to understand information about products, services and activities.

• To ensure copy effectively communicates purpose and disseminated in the appropriate channel to the intended target audience.

Chinese language editing, translation and proofreading

• Ensure Chinese editorial and translations are accurate, and meaning is not lost in the process. Liaise with product marketers / English editors to gain a better understanding and to avoid misinterpretation

• To proofread all Chinese copy of publications, labels, etc. to ensure that, names, trade names and trademarks are correctly represented and ensure that no typo errors are introduced during the production process

• To liaise with and proofread materials sent to external vendors, ensuring a consistent quality of work

Copywriting

• To research, write, plan, and organize editorial activities for selected projects

• To liaise with Chinese ABOs for further details as and when required

• To strategize and adapt selected long-form content into bite-sized materials for social media consumption

Other roles:

• Working in tandem with English & BM editors, sometimes taking the lead in copy creation, especially for Chinese-specific campaigns

• To assign translation jobs to the vendors and ensure the timely delivery of translated work

• To maintain/manage high standard of translated works
