Job Title:                               Team Leader - Maintenance

Department / Division:     Facilities and Manufacturing / Supply Chain

Paygrade:                             EXB 15

Salary Range:                      $87,686 – $113,477

Location:                               Quincy, WA

 

What do we need:

As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of 10 Maintenance and Custodial team members while ensuring that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and in good working order. This includes coordinating routine maintenance, responding to emergency repairs, supervising, coaching, and mentoring the skilled trades maintenance staff. 

 

What’s special about this role:

  • Lead a team of Maintenance technicians to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and efficiently
  • Hire and onboard new talent as needed
  • Work closely with production personnel to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure that maintenance procedures and policies are followed consistently by the team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to identify and implement ways to increase equipment efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead the custodial team to ensure a clean and hygienic facility is maintained.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members and provide training and development opportunities as needed
  • Conduct routine audits of the facilities and equipment to ensure compliance is maintained for a GMP facility and processes.
  • Perform Safety walks with leadership and EH&S, provide guidance and take ownership for all safety work performed by maintenance and contractors.
  • Work closely with governing authority to maintain any compliance or licensing for Life Safety, Environmental Waste and Air Quality, Boiler Inspections, and Fire Protection.

 

Required qualifications:

One of the following;

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience plus bachelor’s degree in Engineering
    • Minimum 4 years facilities/manufacturing experience plus Skilled Trades Journeyman or Amway’s Mechanic career path  
    • Minimum 5 years’ facilities/manufacturing maintenance and BA/BS degree

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • The ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Ability to communicate at the maintenance technician level
  • Strong organizational, planning, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a way that can be understood and embraced by a non-technical community
  • Ability to use computer-based maintenance management software and systems, preferably experience with an Enterprise Asset Management system like Hexagon or Infor.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment and facility drawings including parts schematics, BOM, P&ID drawings and architectural drawings.

The Nutrilite Botanical Concentrate plant produces extracts and concentrations for the production of Amway core nutritional products. The plant is focused on consistent and dependable delivery of high-quality products for a global customer base, while providing flexibility and responsiveness. It is currently running 6 days a week, 24 hours a day. If you have a desire to lead a high-performing team, this opportunity could be for you.
