This position will partner with Nutrition I&S Emerging Markets Hub to scout, develop and leverage external partnerships to identify new herbal, botanicals & traditional medicine ingredients, technologies & products to build Emerging Markets Hub pipeline & support Amway growth objectives. 

Primary Responsibilities:

The ASM will be responsible to build global & local relationships, create & manage complex agreements related to Startups, University Research Engagements, Ventures and Partnerships that deal with Intellectual Property, License Options, Royalties and other type of agreements related to Innovation for commercialization at the local, regional, and global level.


  • Provides day-to-day leadership for a team of professionals within the Emerging Markets Hub in India related to scouting technology & establishing partnerships.
  • Influences the development of Policies and Procedures
  • Critical player in developing mastery across the procurement organization
  • Manages Global suppliers and purchasing responsibility for new technology, products, ingredients and services
  • Highly complex agreements related to Intellectual Property & new technologies/innovation
  • Leads highly complex projects & programs in area of specialty
  • Requires expert knowledge of external markets and procurement mastery and applies it to most complex products and/or new products -- often having to work to create the supply chain
  • Manage Intellectual Property & complex legal agreements
  • Expertise in engaging and partnering in Venture Capital & Startup communities
  • Expertise in dealing & building relationships with universities, professors and research scientists.


  • BS in Engineering or Business
  • 8 - 10 years progressive sourcing experience with significant experience working with R&D to identify, vet and commercialize new product technologies. 
  • Specific career focus/exposures in the Nutrition and/or Beauty industries desired.
  • Proven strategic business planning, visioning and execution skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain/Procurement with a firm grasp of industry best practices and proven ability to influence and implementing best-in-class sourcing strategies
