What you’ll do:

Handling

  • Correct and timely handling of customs documents and procedures against optimum costs and in conformance to law and legislation
  • Application of customs regulations, ensuring the correct papers needed for international trading. Managing and maintaining the documents related to import (and export) of products / goods. Assures operational implementation of new required legal certificates and documents per changes in the customs- and / or other legislation

Customs Clearance

  • Correct and timely customs clearance in cooperation with broker agencies
  • On time and correct payment of duties, taxes and other invoices
  • Ensuring on time and correct customs clearance against optimal duties. Be the liaison between broker agencies, Amway, ABG, customs and other authorities
  • Tracking shipments into Turkey

Compliance

  • Compliance with law and legislation on internal and external changes (organizational, changing law and legislation)
  • Signaling, following up and implementing new and changed customs law and legislation. Signaling and anticipating on processes within the organization. Creating awareness within the organization of the effect of internal process changes on the application of customs regulations

Knowledge centre

  • Support for other departments, Amway and warehouse operations in Turkey, EU/RU and global
  • Acting as a knowledge center for other departments in Turkey, Europe/Russia and global
  • Support programs and projects on a national and international basis
  • Maintain trusted relationships to promote the cooperation and the company’s reputation
  • Acting as a knowledge center for other team members regarding the OneSource system
  • Perform quarterly broker reviews for Europe (incl. SA, TR, UA)

Analysis

  • Make analysis and calculations for decision making
  • Analyses trade related figures in order to evaluate optimization, savings, simplifications

Cooperation

  • Cooperate with the R&D, Finance, Marketing, Procurement department
  • Work together with the R&D team on import requirements, documents, certificates and processes
  • Work together with the Procurement team on tender processes (RFI, RFQ, PO)
  • Supports Amway Turkey, ESAN, CA, Global, Japan, South Africa, South Korea

What you’ll need:

  • Fluent knowledge of Turkish, English advanced level
  • Customs legislation / regulations
  • Professional computer skills (Office, etc.)
